Kentucky
Kentucky conjures images of horses, bourbon and rolling fields of bluegrass. Along Interstate 64 from Lexington to Louisville, travelers will pass through beautiful country vistas and horse ranches with acres of white and black fences. In this area there are eight distilleries that make up the Bourbon Trail, the only such trail in the world. Close to the distilleries are many of Kentucky’s fifty-five wineries. Most of these wineries have several acres of vineyards close to their tasting rooms. There is a sense of wine country and horse country.
Visit the area and stay awhile, perhaps in one of the area’s many bed and breakfast establishments. Small towns dot the region and the bed and breakfasts add charm and ambiance to the region. Spend your days traveling the country roads, or visit area wineries and distilleries.
