New York State with many geographical areas offers a constant change of seasons. Mountains, rivers, lakes, rolling hills and spring, summer, fall and winter all combine to give vacationers a choice of different types of tourist activities. Vacation opportunities are available for everyone whether sun lovers or ski enthusiasts. With its numerous state and national parks, museums and wineries, there is always something to do and of course, one can always choose a relaxing vacation.
The Finger Lakes offers beautiful blue sparkling lakes with numerous opportunities for boating, wine tasting, swimming and camping. Hudson Valley has orchards, wineries and historical sites. Agriculture abounds throughout the state and New York created the New York Wine & Culinary Center to promote its products. While visiting be sure to look for local produce. One of my favorite places to buy apples is just off Route 20 near interstate 81. The Adirondack Mountains has camping, boating, hiking golf and more.
After a day of shopping or museum tours, consider stopping at some of the renowned restaurants in New York City. Not far away, Long Island provides wine enthusiasts with many wineries to visit within a short distance.
